The architecture

CetraRuddy wrapped the tower in an earth-toned Endicott Desert Ironspot brick, a warm, textured material that nods to the Upper East Side's classic masonry buildings rather than the glass towers found elsewhere in Manhattan. The building rises to a multifaceted crown that's illuminated at night and holds the penthouses' private terraces.

The entrance is on East 82nd Street, where a high-ceilinged lobby features a limestone colonnade, a stone reception desk, and a suspended chandelier. About 3,000 square feet of retail will face Third Avenue.

The developer

Douglaston Development is one of New York's most active residential developers, with a long track record of large condo and rental projects across the city. Young New Development at Brown Harris Stevens is the exclusive sales and marketing team, with a sales gallery inside Colette, a coworking club on the 37th floor of the GM Building.
